I was wondering if any guy from the USA or UK has ever used one of those mail order bride services? If so did it work? How did it work out?

I am fed up with American women and I would like a wife who is from Latin America or maybe Russia. (Nothing bad has just been my experience/opinion.)

First, there is no such thing as a "mail order bride". Any site that purports to find you a bride, and ensure she comes to the USA is a scam site.

One of the only sites I know of that follows all the rules necessary for a woman to eventually come to the USA is Elena’s Models: http://www.elenasmodels.com .

There is a law, since 2006, that requires any US man who meets/writes to a foreign woman to first submit a "Disclosure Statement" to her that tells of prior marriages, arrests, etc. If the site does not require you to fill this out, and them send it to the woman for approval before you email her, it is either illegal or a scam. USCIS will not give approval if this was not done.

I ordered a bride from china and 1 from russia. They forgot to poke air holes in the box from china and the girl has died. She’s starting to get stiff with rigomortus and is no longer as fun as she was when she first appeared dead. The russian woman turns out to be 9 and I have to return her as well. The internet site I bought them from has been down for a week. Do I keep the 9 year old wife and bury the chinese one, or can I still get my money back?

I wouldnt suggest doing this, I think its knd of crazy actually. I know of one person who did this, and they have been happily married for 5 years…but again I dont think it always turns out that way

The answers here show the great ignorance and prejudice of Americans. We only repeat what we hear, without looking for the facts.

I will agree with last_defender’s comments. It all depends. Many come here looking for a green card, many search an American for the money. These are the "marry him, and divorce him after the required 3 year period" people (yes, a woman coming here on a fiance or spouse visa must stay married for 3 years or be deported).

However, many come for a "better life" and the attitude "I will learn to love him". This is not so outrageous, and these marriages often work since it is cultural to learn to love a mate this way in many older cultures (including Asia and India).

And, there is the majority group which is honest, professionals who really want a loving husband, instead of an abusive drunkard. There are many many successful marriages in America, England, and Australia that are out of Russia heritage.

Being married to one, and knowing many men who are, I find that Russian women are some of the most loving and devoted women alive. Kind of like 1950’s USA. Good housekeepers, they prefer a division of gender roles, and respect and honor those who respect them. Very intelligent too. Most are professionals - doctors, lawyers, etc.

I never had a girlfriend, and the way things are going dont give me much encouragement. I am very athletic, have advanced degrees in engineering, but girls dont really pay much attention to me (unless they see my car). I dont want to buy love.
