Do they love foreign man long time?

The answers here show the great ignorance and prejudice of Americans. We only repeat what we hear, without looking for the facts.

I will agree with last_defender’s comments. It all depends. Many come here looking for a green card, many search an American for the money. These are the "marry him, and divorce him after the required 3 year period" people (yes, a woman coming here on a fiance or spouse visa must stay married for 3 years or be deported).

However, many come for a "better life" and the attitude "I will learn to love him". This is not so outrageous, and these marriages often work since it is cultural to learn to love a mate this way in many older cultures (including Asia and India).

And, there is the majority group which is honest, professionals who really want a loving husband, instead of an abusive drunkard. There are many many successful marriages in America, England, and Australia that are out of Russia heritage.

Being married to one, and knowing many men who are, I find that Russian women are some of the most loving and devoted women alive. Kind of like 1950’s USA. Good housekeepers, they prefer a division of gender roles, and respect and honor those who respect them. Very intelligent too. Most are professionals - doctors, lawyers, etc.

I don’t see a problem with it at all. It can get creepy if a guy wants a girl young enough to be his granddaughter, but I don’t think that’s always the case. I think love can grow from these relationships, just as they can in arranged marriages. Just because it’s not what we do in the Western Culture doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

Think about it. At least both parties are being honest! In any given situation, there are going to be people who try to take advantage of the other person. Any girl is going to want a guy who is going to be able to provide for the couple financially, right? And any guy is going to want a girl who is going to give him sex and clean his house. So what’s so different about mail order brides? You’re just being 100% honest about what you want up front, and you know that you’re getting someone who has the morals that you require. I think there might be less of a tendency to divorce because "he doesn’t love me anymore".

Of course, not all mail order marriages are perfect. There are going to be obstacles that they have to tackle, just like the rest of us do. It’s just a different set of problems.

I am a single mom and I dont have any money to buy my son food. I have little food right now and I am trying to make it last til i get paid, but I got bills to pay so who says I am going to have money to buy food anyway. I have my poor child crying cause he wants more food. Try telling a toddler what conservation mean. Right now I am at a low and seriously would happily sell myself into submission. My faith is running low.

My colleague has a mail order bride though it’s not like you just order a wife and she has to do whatever you want. It’s mutual. Yes you do "Order" her by looking at a serious of pictures, video, and read about her personality, etc., but when she comes to see you (you pay for her travel to your home) she has just as much say in the relationship as you do. However, a lot of the mail order brides are women that come from less-than-ideal living arrangement like very poor countries, so in a sense these women that sign up for the listings sincerely want to leave their home country and become a wife for a man who can financially take care of them. It’s not like a dating website though. The women are expected to be single with you and you alone and if things don’t work out, then they go back to their home country. So, yes mail order bride services do exist, though I bet that most of the online ones are just scams. I should ask my colleague about it sometime. I’m still in my mid-20’s so I’m not looking to settle down, but one of these days I might get more information about how he went through the procedure. He and his wife have been happily married for about 9 years. I’m just tired of dating feminist American/Western women who expect everything in a man, yet they themselves are not accomplished and educated as I am. This is another issue for another place though…
